TerniEnergia, founded in September 2005 and part of Terni Research Group , operates in the renewable energy sector and is particularly active in the photovoltaic  field, where it operates as system Integrator and producer of electrical energy  through the conversion of sunlight. ( Power Generation)
Since July 2008  TerniEnergia is listed on Mercato Telematico Azionario of Borsa Italiana and on December, 28th  2010 the company acknowledged receipt of admission to Star  segment by Borsa Italiana S.p.A.,  therefore TerniEnergia's ordinary shares are  traded on the SegmentoTitoli ad  Alti Requisiti (STAR) of MTA with a capitalization of approximately € 100 Million.
TerniEnergia operates as System Integrator through a business model  that provides for integration and control of the entire operating process  (Marketing, designing, installing, remote controlling and maintaining ) offering “turn-key” industrial-sized photovoltaic plant.
Since 2007 the company, in addition to the system integrator business, developed the production of electrical energy through marketing, designing, installing photovoltaic plants, both for its own and with Joint Venture companies  together with EDF EN Italia S.p.A.  and other leading national players. The company wishes to strengthen its solar energy sale activity and it aims at achieving  a national leadership on BOT Segment (Built Operate and Transfer) of large industrial-size plants.
In 2010 TerniEnergia completed the building of 76 Photovoltaic plants for a total installed power of 77.2 MWp ,29.5 of which  were performed for JV’s power generation business and the remaining on behalf of third parties.
The total number of plants built by TerniEnergia from the beginning of its activity until December, 31st, 2010 is 204 for  a total aggregate capacity of 117.2 MWp, 49.3 MWp of which were perfomed for JV’s Power Generation Business.
